Opportunity Description
University of Turin Scholarships for international students registering in postgraduate degree programs in 2023-2024 are now open for application. It finances five two-year scholarships for international students in the first year of a postgraduate degree without a restricted number of places and with no entrance test.
For you to be eligible for this opportunity, students should hold a valid previous qualification for a postgraduate degree program from outside the Italian education system. Also, they should not have Italian citizenship and must not reside in Italy.
The total gross amount of the scholarship is €20,000, including costs borne by the beneficiary. This scholarship cannot be replace and gathered with other study scholarship programs of Italian Government, private institutions, or other Italian public institutions.
Students enrolling in the second academic year, applicants from changing programs within the University of Turin, and those transferring from another university are not eligible for this scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Turin Scholarships
Students fulfilling the following requirements are eligible for this scholarship program:
- Applicant must hold a valid previous qualification for a postgraduate degree outside the Italian education system.
- Candidates should not have Italian citizenship and not reside in Italy.
- You must meet the requirements to access the chosen degree program at the time of enrolment (check the admission requirements for the desired degree.)
- Must have sent the application for the desired degree program(s) via the Apply@Unito platform by 16 April 2023.Provide proficiency in English equal to at least a B2 level of CEFR (accepted tests include IELTS 5.5-6.5, TOEFL iBT 87-109, BEC Vantage, FCE Grade B e C, Trinity College ISE II).
- You must have not previously enrolled in an undergraduate, postgraduate, or 5-6 years postgraduate degree program at the University of Turin, nor any other Italian university.
- If you are born after 01 January 1994 are eligible to apply.
- Students enrolling in the second academic year, applicants from changing programs within the University of Turin, and those transferring from another university are not eligible for this scholarship.
Note: To get enrolment in the chosen program, non-EU students living abroad must consider VISA procedures and deadlines.
Required Documents
Applicants who wish to apply for the University of Turin Scholarships should submit the required documents as follows:
- Scholarship Form
- Provide proficiency in English equal to at least a B2 level of CEFR (accepted tests include IELTS 5.5-6.5, TOEFL iBT 87-109, BEC Vantage, FCE Grade B e C, Trinity College ISE II).
- Original foreign academic qualification and transcript of records signed and sealed by the foreign University with translation into Italian or English for non-original documentation in Italian, English, Spanish, or French

- Valid Passport
- GRE General Test certificate obtained no sooner than 01 January 2020.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Giving a fraudulent documents is a crime.
- Applications received after the deadline is not acceptable,
- Applications received through fax, email, or paper format or incomplete with all the required documentation are unacceptable.
- Documents should be readable, in PDF format, under penalty of exclusion.
- Application modification is not possible after the submission.
- Students who do not complete the application for their desired degree program of interest on Apply@Unito by 16 April 2023 will not be able to apply for this scholarship.
Scholarship Awarding Criteria and Allocation
For selecting the applications for the University of Turin Scholarships (5 Two-Years Scholarships), applicants should pass the assessment of the qualifications with a maximum of 60 points and the interview with a maximum of 40 points. The selection committee will evaluate the applications with the allocation of the following points:
- C1/C2 level language certificate of the candidate (maximum 15 points)
- Coherence between previous studies and the postgraduate degree programs (maximum 15 points)
- GRE General Test certificate in the gre@home format obtained later than 01 January 2020 with the minimum scores for each section: Verbal Reasoning: 140/170, Quantitative, Reasoning: 140/170, Analytical Writing: 3,5/6. (Maximum 30 points)
Notes:
- Students should obtain an overall score of 51/100 for you to be included in the ranking list.
- Only those applicant who scored at least 30/60 will have permission to the interview level.
