United Nations – Scholarships 2018/2019
The United Nations is a body committed to participate in international study and research partnerships that build understanding among peoples, develop global citizens and leaders who contribute to the development of nations.
Anyone who has figured out his/her major area of interest and what kind of degree or certification he/she may want to pursue will be bothered on how to pay for the fees. This is because higher education costs seem prohibitive and keeps scaring many away.
But here is the good news you have been waiting for. The International Board of the United Nations have come to help you finance your academic pursuits.
Every year, the United Nations Africa Scholarship offers scholarship awards to over 100,000 scholarships for bachelor degree, masters, and postgraduate study and professional development to citizens of developing African countries.
This scholarship provides monthly financial assistance to candidates who are qualified and as well give them the ability to study and work in any country of their choice all through the period of programme.
The scholarship is available to South Africa, East Africa, and West Africa countries only.
United Nations Scholarship covers the following:
(3)Cost of books (Book allowance)
(4)Project and equipment expenses
(5)Student monthly allowance ($1,500)
United Nations Scholarship Eligibility
(1) Students who are interested must have obtained a high school leaving certificate to qualify for the scholarship. Part-time students are also qualified to apply for the scholarship only when the applicant is able to demonstrate heavy career commitments or a medical condition that prevents them from studying full time.
(2) Students may be either internal or external students. Both international and domestic students are eligible to apply.
The application form must be completed online or through the hard copy. The successful applicant will be chosen at the sole discretion of the United Nations.
