TOTTENHAM STUN – MAN U
The premier league giant, Manchester United has been subjected to an object of mockery by their counterpart, Tottenham Hotspur who mercilessly trashed them 3 – 0 in their home at the Old Trafford.
Mourinho’s woes has increased after receiving a pitiless defeat on Monday night at the Old Trafford when Totenham Hotspur gave him a heart break to remember.
It was an interesting and entertaining first half game which ended without a goal from any side even as Lukaku came close to breaking the deadlock for United.
England captain, Harry Kane opened the scoring at the 50th minute of the game when he leapt above Phil Jones headed into the far post Kieran Trippier’s cross to beat De Gea who is still looking for his form ever since the end of last premier league.
In the 52nd minute, Brazillian star, Lucas Moura later increased the tally for Tottenham by slipping the ball into De Gea’s post after receiving a low cross from Christian Eriksen.
Again, Moura sealed the victory for Spurs at the 84th minute when he ran past Chris Smalling before he confidently drilling the ball into the net and made it three.
This loss has increased Jose Mourinho’s fury at the club and placed Manchester them twelfth in position with only three points while Tottenham has been in joint first Position with Liverpool after three consecutive wins.
This defeat came even though Mourinho made six changes from the team that were earlier beaten 3 -2 by Brighton and Albion last week. This will increase the chances of the critics of Mourinho to clamour for his sack.
