Suicide death has been recorded as a result of corona virus (Covid- 19).
German minister in the person of Thomas Schaefer, who is the current finance minister of Germany’s Hesse state, has committed suicide.
SUICIDE DEATH – NOT WAY TO END COVID-19
He was worried and tensed as he tried to combat the economic fallout from the coronavirus, state premier Volker Bouffier said on Sunday.
Mr Schaefer who died at the age of 54 years was found dead near a railway track on Saturday.
The Wiesbaden prosecution’s office confirmed he may have died as a result of suicide.
A recorded statement by Bouffier notes, “We are in shock, we are in disbelief and above all, we are immensely sad”.
The home to Germany’s financial capital Frankfurt is Hesse.
This is where major lenders like Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank have their headquarters.
It is also the home of the major European Central Bank.

WHAT A LOSS
Mr. Schaefer has been the finance minister for over 10 years and was known as a hardworking person.
He always worked day and night helping companies and workers deal with the economic impact of covid-19.
Bouffier, a close ally of the Chancellor, Angela Merkel noted that they have to assume that he was deeply worried about the virus which led to his suicide death.
It is most difficult that in a moment like this when we need strong minds like him, we lost him to the pandemic situation.
As much as he is popular and well-respected, the German minister, Schaefer had long been touted as a possible successor to Bouffier given his dedication and hardwork.
Again, both Bouffier and Schaefer belonged to Merkel’s center-right CDU party.
Mr. Schaefer is survived by his beautiful wife and two children.
