The news in detail…

(1) The Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Engr. David Nweze Umahi has stated the readiness of the State to pay in full all counterpart funds with IFAD-VCDP.

He made this known during the handover of multi-million Naira infrastructural projects executed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Value chain Development Programme in collaboration with the State Government at Igboji, Ekpomaka market square in Ikwo L.G.A and Nwofe market in Izzi LGA of Ebonyi State.

The IFAD boss reiterated that market development is part of the IFAD Programme implementation component in order to promote processing, packaging and marketing of rice and cassava products under the value-chain development programme.

(2)The Chairman of the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON), Mr. John Momoh has strongly condemned in totality the demolition of Fresh FM (105.9) by the Government of Oyo State.

In his statement as it reads… The Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria finds this demolition as not only highly oppressive but against every civilized mind in the nation in particular and the world in general.

US-CHINA TRADE WAR ON INCREASE AS TRUMP IMPOSES 25% TAXES ON CHINA GOODS.

US President Donald Trump increases the US-China trade war by bringing a 25% tax rate on on second weigh of goods worth 16 billion dollars.

This fires a dispute which started in July. It is known that US imports more good from China than she exports to it. This has created fear that companies will be affected as goods affected include; motorcycles etc.

In reaction to this, China has imposed same tax on US goods of same value. Goods affected include; medical instruments, cars, and buses.
