The acronym “NCDC” stands for Nigerian Centre for Disease Control. The agency was created in 2011 by joining many departments of the federal ministry of health.
The aim of creating the agency was to completely regulate the outbreak of diseases in Nigeria through sustaining quality health care system. NCDC has the duty of protecting the lives and health of the populace through effective control of disease outbreak.
The major agency that deals with health in Nigeria is NCDC. It ensures that all infectious diseases are put to check.
The different departments that made up the agency were; Epidemiology Division, the Avian Influenza Project and its laboratories; and the Nigeria Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme (NFELTP).
Every agency needs human labour. This is why they need to employ workers in order to curb unemployment in the country. Therefore, the major objective of this NCDC recruitment is to provide jobs for Nigerian youths.

General Qualifications and Requirements
Are you interested in applying for the NCDC recruitment exercise? Then you have to meet up with all the requirements;
- Possess a B.Sc, HND, NCE, OND in any discipline from a recognized institution
- West African School Certificate (WASC) or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) with Credits in not less than three (3) subjects including English and at least passes in two (2) other subjects; or
- National Examination Council (NECO)/General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level with passes in four (4) subjects obtained at one sitting or five (5) subjects obtained at two sittings including the English Language.)
- National Diploma (ND) obtained from a recognized institution. National Certificate of Education (NCE) from a recognized institution; or
- General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) in two (2) subjects obtained at one sitting or three (3) subjects obtained at two sittings.
