JAMB Sets 2020/21 General Cut-off Marks – The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the cut-off mark for admission into Nigerian universities for the 2020/2021 school term.
The board said the stop mark for Universities is 169 while Polytechnics is 120 which of schools of Education and other innovative institutions stands at 100.

Speaking at the 2020 policy meeting on admissions to tertiary institutions on Tuesday, the Registrar of JAMB, Ishaq Oloyede, said 612,557 candidates were offered admission in 2019 out of the 1.8m that wrote the examination.
He said candidates expecting their results will only be considered once they are uploaded on its website.
In his remarks, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu directed JAMB and tertiary institutions to proceed with the conduct of 2020/2021 admissions. He said admission processes are expected to commence in August supported the rules released by JAMB.

The minister who was represented by the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, appealed to JAMB and tertiary institutions to think about candidates with previous years’ Senior School Certificate Examination and other qualifying results for the admission process.
This is against the backdrop of the senior lyceum examination calendar by the Covid-19 health crisis.
He said the government will make an appointment to accommodate applicants who are going to be taking the examination when the chance to try to so is figured out.
