Ebonyians with academic interest have been awarded the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) scholarship for the 2018/2019 in United Kingdom of which application was recently submitted online.

The winners of the competitive scholarship scheme presented to the board the highest academic qualifications over about 100 applicants in the State. They did this by presenting to PTDF a proposal of study that best meets the interest of the Nigerian Oil and gas industry.

The selection exercise was in two phases. The first phase was an online application where graduates who made first class or second class upper division were called to apply. Based on merit, the board selected the first set and called for interview which held earlier this year. Subsequently, the result of the interview was published based on merit without any political influence.
Information reaching us show that PTDF is expected to seek for admission on behalf of the awarded Ebonyians as the board already has their submitted documents. Also as the process is ongoing, the awardees may be contacted to provide some other relevant information to help cement their admissions.
The induction exercises, also including the award ceremony and necessary documentation, were held at the PTDF Towers Abuja for recipients of both awards as follows:
