Ebonyi sports have been in darkness in the past but now, it is obvious the sports loving people of Ebonyi State are on the verge of enjoying the Ebonyi Sports games as brought to us by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development.

EBONYI SPORTS – SPORTS NOW ALIVE
The Ebonyi State Ministry of Sports and Youth Development brings to all the sports loving people of Ebonyi the first of its kind, the David Umahi Tertiary Institution Games (DUMTIGA) which is expected to hold between 8 – 15 September, 2018 at the Abakaliki township stadium.
Now the world cup is over, and the European leagues are on board, the Ebonyi State Ministry of Sports and Youth Development wan ts to lighten our sporting joy with DUMTIGA.
DUMTIGA is a university games organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development in order to harness talents from Ebonyians in different Tertiary institutions to include; Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi tate University, Abakaliki, Evangel University, Akaeze; Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana, Afikpo.
Others are; Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu, Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo, Ebonyi State School of Health Technology, Ngbo; School of Health Technology, 135 Ezzangbo; Pacific Institute of Caterine and Hotel Management, Abakaliki; and National Youth Service Corps Ebonyi State.
The schools are expected to compete for glory in different sporting activities like, football, handball, basketball, javeline, shot put, athletics, volleyball etc.
It is obvious that this kind of event will harness true young talents who may be opportuned to represent the State or Nigeria in the nearest future.
Now, the question is WHO WINS THE HIGHEST LAURELS? Which of the schools do you predict to be the champion of Ebonyi Tertiary Institutions?
