Click on your profile picture. Click on the pencil (Edit option). Once you do this you will have a cursor and emoticons at your disposal.
Write a status for yourself in 130 characters or less.
Choose an emoticon by clicking the image you want.
Click the Tick mark next to the emoticon icon.
