CAC Registration for Free– How to Register MSME’s for CAC
The Federal Government (FG) is dedicated to minimize the effects of Covid 19 pandemic by making available survival funds for all. The major criteria to receive from this fund is that one must have a registered Medium and Small Scale Enterprise with CAC. This has led to more difficulty for youths to actually access this fund.
Due to her commitment to actualize the goal amidst this challenge, the Federal Government has dire 36 states freely. There will be free registration of 6,606 Business Names in each of the 34 states while Abia, Lagos and Kano will have 7,906, 9,084 and 8,406 respectively. This is due to high concentration of MSME’s in these areas.
In line with this announcement, all interested Micro and Small Entrepreneurs, Artisans, Craftsmen/Women (one or more persons) that are yet to legally formalize their businesses by taking advantage of this rare opportunity.
Aggregators have been SELECTED to receive applications from interested persons in line with CAC requirements. This is done basiclly state by state. So check the list of aggregators and know who is in-charge of your own state.
The names and contact details of the aggregators can be obtained on the Commission’s Website as follows: www.cac.gov.ng
This registration has fully commenced since 19th October 2020. Remember it is free of charge. Don’t pay anyone who claims you must pay him. Just simply take the required documents and contact him accordingly.
Required Documents for Free CAC Registration
Make sure you have the following documents ready for submission;
- Three (3) Proposed Business Names
- Two (2) Passport sized photographs
- Valid Means of Identification
- Phone Number/Email address
